Welcome to Witch Circle and Strange Brew meetups, your go-to source for everything related to Witchcraft, Magick, and Pagan practices in Sydney!

Strange Brew is a chance to meet and connect with like-minded individuals. At Witch Circle, we understand the importance of sharing knowledge, discussing practices, and engaging in meaningful rituals. That's why our members find our meetings valuable and enriching. We offer a couple of Strange Brew Meetups a month. It's a chance to meet members of the Sydney Witchcraft community. We ask for a modest contribution of $2.50.

We are also excited to offer you a diverse selection of over 50 workshops and seasonal rituals throughout the year, providing opportunities to grow and connect with your community.

Designed to help develop our Witchcraft community, we proudly host several monthly events via our Meetup platform.

Our upcoming events for 2023 include the highly anticipated new Witch Circle Sabbat rituals, that promise to be extraordinary. But don't wait until then to get involved — join our Strange Brew meetups held twice monthly at the Carlisle Castle Hotel in Newtown.

Magickal Partnerships

Traditional Witchcraft often follows the pattern of an intimate relationship.. So is a Magickal Partnership simply a relationship with Magick thrown into the mix? Is this the only type of Magickal Partnership there is?

Feared and Revered Exhibition Canberra

Hekate at the Crossroads

Our Witch Circle is gathering on the night of the Solstice when we feel the chill in the air and the darkness all around us. But we will also sense the promise of new beginnings and the potential for growth and renewal because Yule is the year's turning point.

Witches Pyramid

The Witches Pyramid is a basic framework for magical practice often used in modern Witchcraft. Join us to learn about how the four classical elements of earth, air, fire, and water and the three principles of correspondence, vibration, and polarity form a foundation for your magical work.

Psychedelic Witchcraft

Psychedelics aid in traditional Witchcraft and shamanic practices by altering consciousness. In an altered state, the witch-shaman can access guidance and healing from spiritual entities.

Imbolc

We will honour the goddess Brigid, who represents the earth's returning light and creative energies. We will light candles, make offerings of milk and honey, and ask for her blessings in our homes and families.

Thelema + Witchcraft

Thelema is a spiritual and philosophical system founded by English writer and occultist Aleister Crowley in the early 1900s, which centres around the concept that each individual possesses a True Will or an inherent purpose in life.

Ritual + Ceremony

Ritual is essential to many spiritual and religious practices, including Witchcraft. Rituals and ceremonies serve many purposes, such as creating a sacred space, honouring a deity or spirit, expressing devotion or gratitude, or working magick.

The Witch's Path

In Witchcraft, the term "path" refers to the specific spiritual beliefs and traditions that a witch follows. Modern witches place great importance on their chosen path because it helps define their spiritual practice and provides a framework for their beliefs and rituals.

Deity + Numinous

In the world of Witchcraft, deities are not just abstract concepts but powerful beings that are experienced as divine forces. While many religions believe in a god, for Witches, their relationship with the deity is much more personal. Deity is a transformative force that is experienced directly rather than just a belief in the supernatural.

High Magic

Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn is a spiritual tradition that originated in Victorian England by three Rosicrucian Freemasons to embody the essence of the Western Mysteries. It is a system of mysticism and magic designed to help the practitioner achieve initiation and union with the divine. I recently met John Mercurio, an initiate of the Order, who has founded a branch of the Fellowship of the Golden Dawn here in Australia.

Alchemy

Alchemy was often associated with magick and the occult, and many practitioners of alchemy were also considered to be magicians or witches. This is because alchemy was seen as a way of tapping into the hidden forces of nature and harnessing them for personal gain.

Sex Magick

Sex magick involves using sexual energy to manifest a specific desire or goal. It often involves performing ritualistic sex acts with a partner or partners in a controlled and deliberate manner in order to channel and direct the sexual energy towards achieving a specific aim.

You're invited to join us for an evening of discovery of books for a curious mind. Our Esoteric Books night is a chance to unlock what it is about particular books on Witchcraft and Magick that captures the imagination. Bring your favourite esoteric books and share the passages that forever changed you.
